We are currently expanding our marketing and investment teams and are seeking qualified candidates for the following position.

Marketing Manager

Insight Capital is a successful, long-standing registered investment advisor in Walnut Creek, CA, specializing in managing equity growth portfolios. The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for the entire sales process targeting high net worth individuals and families, financial advisors, brokers, consultants, and institutions.  You will be expected to cold call prospective clients offering our financial services. We offer competitive compensation including base salary commensurate with previous experience and an opportunity to earn additional variable income that increases with performance. This is a full time salaried position with bonus structure.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and proven ability to generate leads and close new business. You will also be responsible for client servicing and retention. Ideally, the candidate will have financial services experience working with financial advisors and high net worth individuals in a similar capacity (i.e. as a financial advisor or registered sales associate). Excellent communication and presentation skills required.  Significant travel required (25-30%).

Job Duties

  • Prospect and build new and existing client relationships
  • Develop and execute on marketing campaigns for multiple audiences and across all distribution channels including print and web-based communications
  • Organize and conduct informational seminars/webinars with clients and prospects on a quarterly basis
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects and referral sources
  • Regularly service existing client base for retention purposes as well as for follow-on business
  • Create marketing materials to more effectively communicate Insight’s offerings; participate in strengthening brand strategy and standards in all marketing communications.
  • Monitor daily global investment news and information relevant to firm’s holdings
  • Lead the enhancement of marketing capabilities, process improvements, and continuous learning that will help communications efforts
  • On occasion, represent Insight as an exhibitor at conferences and events

Qualifications

  • BS / BA
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience (sales, private or commercial banking, financial wholesaler, FA)
  • Series 65, 66, 3
  • Proven ability to generate leads, solicit new business, and close deals
  • ACT! proficiency
  • Financial services industry experience and strong understanding of the investment industry preferred
  • Innovative, creative thinker capable of developing and executing a successful marketing campaign with minimal direction or supervision
  • Highly motivated, proactive, aggressive, resourceful, self-directed, energetic, enthusiastic
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to meet stringent deadlines
  • The ability to work independently and take responsibility
